# Create a new template

To create a new template click on *+ NEW TEMPLATE*.

Fill in available fields and click *CREATE* to save or [*CREATE & EDIT*](/product-design/product-templates/main-templates/general.md) to save and open in edit mode.

| Field                   | Description                                                                                                    |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Template code           | Must be unique                                                                                                 |
| Default label attribute | Value of the indicated **text attribute** that you want to be displayed as a signature in the product item     |
| Default image attribute | Value of the indicated **image or gallery attribute** which will be displayed as a signature in a product item |
